I don't know why I notice these things (Probably 20 years of TV adverts burning a hole in my brain) but this van had a box of tissues on the dashboard and "Cold Control" on the side. I dunno. It made me laugh.

Laser Quest Bold

Just something I made with my new typeface (but in faux bold).

Laser Quest

During a one-day work shop in class I created the basis of this typeface. It was based on a grid I was given and I chose to exploit the characteristics of that grid (rather than break from it). I recreated this type digitally and here it is. I couldn't think of a name to suit this type so I went with "Laser Quest". Laser Quest is probably my favourite sport, plus its futuristic. If you want the TTF file you can have it for free. Just contact me. Hope you like it.

Got it under wraps

Probably the best thing I've ever encountered in Scunthorpe. I love this idea to wrap paper around lamposts with clingfilm. So many people have attempted the old plastic wallet or even laminated paper.

Megaphone

I saw this in a hospital in sheffield. It baffled me. This thing above the phone which to me looks like a perm machine or something is supposed to give some privacy I presume. But instead when you stand in it your voice echos and people can hear your conversation much easier. Points for effort?

Today I wrote a narrative of my meal at borough market from the perspective of the polystyrene tray that held my curry. It was an emotional piece, dealing with issues of rejection, inadequacy and abandonment. Here are some extracts.
