You not written much, and I know you don't accept graphic design for a logo as just making it look good, so where's the proficiency of 'design' in this, isn't it just a simple vector placed centrally with text?
No. I drew it by hand and then vectorised it in illustrator and photoshop. It is supposed to be plain so that i can manipulate it later and the logo will still be recognisable as I made it very simple to start with. Also, Logos are supposed to be simple. Thats Why they are made.
I mean it's not unique as a piece of imagery, it's an image that we identify things with already, making it less effective as a logo. If you changed the reference somehow to make it more unique to the company, like a stick figure wearing the umbrella as a top or something, it would be better (I think).

ReplyDeleteLogos are supposed to be heavily identifiable as well though, you've reused imagery, shouldn't it be more unique?
ReplyDeleteI havent. Its not a stock image. I made it myself.
